ART THERAPY AS THE EFFECTIVE WAY TO INCREASE MOTIVATION TO LEARN ENGLISH

Abstract: nowadays foreign language, as a subject, is one of the priorities of modern education. Therefore, the key question of increasing children’s motivation to learn a foreign language is relevant. Motivation is characterized by a set of human`s needs, which can stimulate the achievement of certain results, as well as affect behavior. Motivation is one of the most important components for achieving goals in any area of human activity. Human development is impossible without motivation, it is significant to find new ways to increase motivation among school children.

The process of teaching English is connected with development of modern technologies. More and more, we must develop and use new technologies,means of training and methods of training. We can say that, the art therapy is one of such means. Art therapy usually means activities that are directed at achieving the goals and solving the problems of teaching in general and teaching English in particular. The use of art technologies helps to ensure the development of thinking, the strength of the assimilation of lexical units and grammatical structures, expands the horizons of school children. Therefore, art technologies help to increase motivation of school children to learn English.
