IMPROVING THE EDUCATION OF FOREIGN STUDENTS IN PROFESSIONAL COMMUNICATION

Abstract: the article explores the possibilities of effective use of the text in teaching Russian language in a foreign audience. Criteria for selecting text for educational purposes, the possibilities of popular science and model scientific texts for teaching students the strategy of extracting the meanings and the information contained, requirements for audio texts in the specialty and the types of written communication that should be mastered by students in the process of studying at the University are considered.

The textbook in this article refers to the text taken to solve a particular methodical problem. For non-phylological students, textbooks and popular science texts are offered as a teaching text. As an example, the topics of popular science texts are listed, which are used at the Department of “Russian Studies” in MADI for the second year of bachelor’s and master’s degrees. The following is the organization of work on the structure of the text. Methodists in the field of teaching Russian as a foreign language are united in the opinion that it is necessary to teach the structure of the scientific text in the light of text typology, as such texts as description, narration, reasoning, and proof are widely represented in textbooks and lectures on students’ specialties. Knowing the structure of the text, the student is able to predict the statement at syntactical and informative levels. Therefore, foreign students need to be taught a conscious perception of the structure of the scientific text. Today students study many new subjects at MADI, so it is necessary to analyze the structure of the texts of new specialties in order to facilitate the work of students on the perception and understanding of scientific information. Successful achievement of the goals of professional communication in a foreign language with specialists is impossible without the ability to listen the statements of communication partners. Therefore, the formation of listening skills in the specialty is one of the program requirements of education in a foreign language. It is customary to use educational audio text based on special techniques during educational process. It should be close to a lecture. At the end of the article, the authors came to the conclusion that improving the teaching of foreign students in professional communication implies, first of al,l a properly organized work with scientific text, based on text typology, which permeates teaching in all kinds of speech activities.
