Absract: the article actualizes the problem of increasing the competitive potential of Russian education, which is considered in the context of global educational trends-internationalization and globalization of education, aimed at expanding international academic partnership and cooperation. The development and promotion of the practice of pre-University training of foreign citizens as one of the Russian educational brands aimed at the foreign market and foreign consumers is considered as a mechanism of integration/competition. The value of pre-University training of foreigners in the present conditions is specified, the advantages of realization of additional educational programs in relation to student recruitment are discussed, the state and prospects of the international activities of the University in attracting and training citizens of foreign countries are analyzed. The article describes the stages and sequence of implementation of the practice in the University. The effectiveness of the implemented measures is demonstrated by the example of the Tver State Technical University and is expressed in specific indicators.
The mechanism of promotion of the practice of pre-University training of foreign citizens is represented as a sequence of tasks for the study of regional educational markets of supplier countries in terms of demand implemented by the institution educational programs for their promotion in foreign students, quality assurance training and information support activities for recruiting, admission, training of foreign students of the University.
