E. BONO’S DISCUSSION TECHNOLOGY “SIX HATS OF THINKING” IN HISTORY LESSONS AT HIGH SCHOOL

Abstract: today, educational institutions tend to increase the use of innovative technologies. Many teachers in their work try to use various methods in different industries and at the stages of the lesson. But often one can encounter difficulties in using modern teaching methods. This article is aimed at researching the modern technology of conducting the “multi-colored” discussion “Six hats of thinking” by E. Bono, and identifying the positive aspects of the teaching method and the difficulties of applying it in high school.

Based on the application of discussion classes in the educational process, the formation of competencies takes place. The authors believe that to identify conditions conducive to the effective formation of competencies, teachers need to have systemic knowledge on the use of innovative educational technologies in practice. Teachers should be guided in various types of discussions, know the features of the methodology for its conduct.

Testing a training discussion is a very time-consuming process, but its developmental, educational and training functions are important; therefore, the need to apply the Six Hats of Thinking discussion by E. Bono in the educational process is obvious, despite the difficulties identified during the lesson.
