Abstract: among the speech disorders of preschool children, the most common is dysarthria. Dysarthria is not only a violation of pronunciation aspects of speech, but also the underdevelopment of higher mental functions, including attention: there are difficulties in performing tasks based on visual and auditory instructions, which leads to difficulties in the distribution of attention between the speech and actions of the child.
The emphasis the authors placed on the learning of arbitrary visual and auditory attention in children of senior preschool age with dysarthria.
Scientific novelty of research consists in the fact that for the first time attention to different modalities in children of senior preschool age with dysarthria is comprehensively investigated.
Practical significance: comparative analysis of development of auditory and visual attention of preschool children with dysarthria and normal speech development; children with dysarthria were found: low levels of productivity, stability of auditory attention and the ability to switch a sufficient level of formation of ability to focus auditory attention; disorders of voluntary visual attention. Resistance, switching, distribution and amount of the voluntary visual attention in children with dysarthria are at a lower level than their peers without speech pathologies.
