STUDY OF THE SPEECH-COGNITIVE ACTIVITY OF PRESCHOOLERS WITH SPEECH DISORDERS

Abstract: the number of children with impaired speech development is increasing. About 40% of preschool children have a speech disorders. Speech-cognitive activity of children with speech disorders has its own characteristics.

The authors emphasize the study of the speech-cognitive activity of preschoolers with speech disorders.

The scientific novelty of the study consists in the following: the peculiarities of the course of mental operations in children with dysarthria were studied and disclosed; a quantitative and qualitative analysis of the speech-cognitive activity of preschool children with speech impairments is given.

Practical relevance: a comparative analysis of the formation of speech-cognitive activity of preschoolers with dysarthria and preschoolers with the norm of speech development was carried out; the following was revealed: a specific orientation of thinking of children with speech disorders, a low level of development of figurative-logical thinking; difficulties in constructing logical reasoning, performing tasks by analogy; low level of ideas about the world and the relationship between objects of the world; low phonemic, lexical and grammatical aspects of speech; correspondence of speech and thought activity to medium and low levels of development.
