PSYCHOLOGICAL FEATURES OF THE “HERITAGE OF A PROFESSION” PHENOMENON IN THE FRAMEWORK OF FAMILY EDUCATION

Abstract: this article discusses the phenomenon of “inheritance of the profession,” which is an interdisciplinary phenomenon that is actively developing in the process of primary socialization. The family, being the dominant factor in this phenomenon, is analyzed as an institution that has an impact on the process of an individual entering the society. The “inheritance of the profession” by the authors of the article is defined as the intergenerational transmission of the sociocultural characteristics of older generations to younger ones.

The article is interesting in the discourse of vocational education, together with the issues of choosing vocational guidance, which also considers the transfer of the profession by inheritance. In this regard, the phenomenon of “inheritance of the profession” can be considered multilevel, as it is a social institution that regulates a similar transfer of transfer of experience and knowledge, as well as a form of interaction in the primary socialization group within the framework of family education [2].

The position of E. Durkheim for writing this article is a theoretical justification, due to the fact that this author considers the phenomenon of “inheritance of the profession” as a certain process of the genetic transfer of the profession. E. Durkheim considers the profession and its transfer to the next generation as an elementary and even the most acceptable form of labor organization, he draws parallels between the mechanical division of labor and the transfer of profession.

“Inheritance of the profession” is the normalized process of a stable society in which the translation and dissemination of professional experience takes place and, as a rule, this occurs within the framework of family education, in the so-called “generation from generation” system.
