ASSESSMENT OF THE LEVEL OF DEVELOPMENT OF PSYCHOLOGICAL SAFETY OF THE PERSONALITY OF STUDENTS OF A PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

Abstract: the article reports on the results of an experimental study of the development of a safe personality during the period of study at a pedagogical university. The author breeds the concepts of “psychological safety” and “safe personality”, demonstrates the characterological features of the first and second. If psychological safety is a quality of an individual or an individual subjective state that provides comfort and an understanding of the absence of threats and destructive losses, then a safe person is the carrier and translator of this psychological safety. The psychologist, having a direct reference status in the mind of a client in need of his help, influencing and correcting his personality, changing his behavior, does not have the right to jeopardize his independent personality-significant formations, suppress and destroy the core of value. A psychologist in an educational institution, among other things, must provide the student with psychological protection from possible aggressive transformations of the educational environment.

The search for psychological and pedagogical techniques and technologies that influence the formation of the professional personality of the future psychologist led the author to conclude that the future psychologist is specially prepared for the implementation of the relatively new labor function “psychological examination of the safety and comfort of the educational environment”.
